Anahuac National Wildlife Refuge

Sunday morning October 15 we left Galveston Island, via ferry, and headed into the beautiful sanctuary waters of the Anahuac National Wildlife Refuge.
Dori and John paddled the banks of the bayou watching for wildlife.
Jackie and the rest of the group played it safe by staying in the middle of the bayou scanning the tree tops for exotic birds.
Julie and Randy stayed out of reach of alligators in their canoe.
Eli, Nikki and Ann paddled alone down the bayou to enjoy the tranquility
Christie kept a watchful eye.
We really did see alligators, but they posed no threat and kept their distance from our boats..
