Cutter Aquatics has been in Water Safety Education in North Texas since 1996. Our high quality product, devoted customer service, and exceptional safety practices have made us the premier provider of recreational kayaking and canoeing instruction in Texas. Barbara Cutter began teaching canoeing to GirlScouts in 1991. She was a volunteer trainer. Full time she ran Cutter Aquatics – American Red Cross swimming lessons in backyard pools. We actually developed the national business model for entrepreneurial Authorized Providers for the Red Cross. We were a great success and sold the swim lesson business to Different Strokes Swim School. Thoughts of retirement swam in Barb’s head, but teaching a few summer kayaking classes seemed like fun, too. By 2004 she asked Chris Gross, a fellow paddling instructor, to join her when she hung her Internet shingle. They reached out to teach college courses and municipal programs. For five years our cadre of professional instructors and our fleet of kayaks delivered year round paddle sports programming to hundreds of customers discovering a new sport. Every year more folks called us to improve paddling abilities and apply their skills to explore new environments with our trips across Texas and around the world. Business burgeoned. In March 2009, to have more time to travel and develop out of state and international paddling trips, Barbara sold the successful group instruction program and business system to Paddle Bound River Outfitters.
Cutter Aquatics specializes now in American Canoe Association Certification courses. We develop the best Instructors and Instructor Trainers.
We still promise—
Seriously Fun Kayaking, Canoeing and SUP.
